MISSING ALBUM ART

Missing album art is usually down to small bug with either the iTunes or iPod Touch software - Apples haven't been able to confirm which is at fault! But there are ways to solve them.

I will make the presumption that you have either got the artwork from iTunes or copied it from a good source (i.e. wikipedia or Amazon etc) and pasted it into your song details!

There are three potential ways to fix the problem depending on the circumstances:

Album art missing from an album, but it shows up on other tracks: This seems to be the most common problem. iTunes seems to be good at understanding that several tracks from the same album will share the same album art. the iPod Touch seems to struggle with this concept!

The fix is to look at all the tracks with the same album art (right click on the track listing and click 'Get Info', then click on 'Artwork'). You need to find one track that shows the artwork on this tab. Once you have found it, right click on the artwork, then click 'Copy', now single open all the other tracks from the same album pasting (right click and 'Paste') the artwork into each tracks details. Sync and the artwork should now show up correctly.

Missing artwork from all tracks on same album: This is usually down to a corrupt piece of artwork. The simple fix if to clear the artwork and either download it again or copy and paste from either Wiki or Amazon.

Missing artwork from all tracks on same album: OK, you have cleared the artwork and downloaded it again but it still doesn't show up! Although a rare error, this could be simply down to the sync not being completed properly. Synce once more ensuring that nothing interferes with the process.
